Fire left this La Habra pool with a damaged surface and a burnt-out equipment system. ACE rebuilt it from the plumbing up, and had it filled and ready to use in three weeks.
Pool Rescue in La Habra (Fire Damage) · 0:43
Fire damage to a pool is rarely limited to what shows from the deck. On this La Habra property the damage reached the interior finish and the tile line, and the equipment that runs the pool was burnt out. A new surface on its own would not have produced a pool that works.
So the job was scoped as a rebuild of the whole system rather than a cosmetic repair: the surface, the tile, the skimmer, the equipment, and the plumbing that connects them.
Every suction and return line was replaced, not just the equipment at the end of them. The pool was already drained and the equipment was already coming out, which made this the right moment to renew the lines as well. Doing it later would have meant opening the work back up after the new surface and equipment were in.
It is the same reason the skimmer was replaced in the same window. The skimmer ties into the suction side of the plumbing, so it was handled as part of that system rather than as a separate visit.
“There was a fire in our backyard which left the pool with severe damage. ACE re-established all conduits, replaced all of the pool equipment, replaced the lights, repaired cracks, and replaced the plaster.”
From start to a filled pool ready to use took three weeks. White plaster was the right finish here: a clean, classic surface that suits a full rebuild, and the most straightforward way to get a fire-damaged pool back into service.
If your pool has been through a fire, the first step is the same as it was here: an on-site look at the finish, tile, equipment and plumbing together, so the scope reflects everything that was affected rather than only what is visible.
