Most people do not put off a pool project because they do not want it. They put it off because of the number at the bottom of the estimate.

Financing is a way around that. Rather than finding the whole amount up front, you borrow it and pay it back monthly — which for a lot of homeowners is the difference between resurfacing this season and resurfacing in three years, by which time the plaster has usually got worse and the job has got bigger.

We work with Lyon Financial, a lender that specializes in swimming pool and outdoor project loans. To be clear about who does what: ACE is the contractor. We do not run credit, set rates or approve anything — that is entirely Lyon, and your agreement is with them.

Financing Questions

Who actually provides the financing?
Lyon Financial. They are a lender that specializes in swimming pool and outdoor project loans, and we have worked with them for years. ACE is the contractor, not the lender - we do not run credit, set rates or approve applications. Your loan agreement is between you and Lyon.
What can I finance?
Anything we would quote you for: resurfacing and replaster, a full pool and spa remodel, tile and coping, decking and pavers, or an equipment upgrade. Lyon also finances other outdoor work such as hardscaping and outdoor kitchens, so a pool project and the rest of the yard can be handled together.
Do I have to finance the whole project?
No. Plenty of people finance part of a job and pay the rest directly - for example financing the remodel and paying cash for the equipment. Get the written estimate from us first, then decide how much of it you want to finance.
What will my monthly payment be?
That depends on the amount, the rate and the term, none of which we set. Lyon's own pool loan calculator will give you an estimate: you enter the project amount, a rate and a repayment period and it returns an estimated monthly payment. Use our written estimate as the project amount so the number means something.
Does applying change the price of my project?
No. Our estimate is the same whether you finance it or write a cheque. The financing sits alongside the job, it is not built into the price.
What is the order of operations?
Get the estimate first. Applying before you know the scope means guessing at the amount, and the scope is what determines it. We walk the pool, give you an itemized written estimate, and then you apply for what you actually need.
